Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented
Assistant Manager – Accounts Payable
with a strong background in the
Telecom or ISP industry
. The role involves managing the complete accounts payable cycle, ensuring compliance, timely vendor payments, reconciliation, and driving process improvements in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end accounts payable operations including invoice processing, approvals, and payments
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of high-volume telecom-related vendor invoices (e.g., infra partners, network vendors, service contracts)
  • Validate contractual obligations for recurring payments such as bandwidth charges, O&M contracts, tower rentals, etc.
  • Monitor compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements including TDS, GST, and telecom-specific norms
  • Perform vendor account reconciliations and resolve open items, disputes, or escalations
  • Liaise with the procurement and network teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure 3-way match compliance
  • Review and authorize payment runs; ensure accurate cash flow planning
  • Support audits (internal, external, and statutory) by preparing and submitting required documentation
  • Assist in month-end closing activities including AP accruals and reporting
  • Drive automation and process improvement initiatives specific to telecom vendor management
  • Lead and mentor a small team of AP executives

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA Inter/MBA Finance preferred)
  • 5-7 years of experience in Accounts Payable, with at least
    2 years in the Telecom/ISP/Tech services industry
  • Strong understanding of telecom vendor contracts, infra-related expenses, and recurring service payments
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Netsuite, or similar)
  • In-depth knowledge of
    GST, SST, and telecom-related tax compliance
  • Excellent MS Excel and data analysis skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience handling vendors such as telecom infrastructure providers, bandwidth suppliers, and MSA-based vendors
  • Exposure to managing high volumes of invoices and complex telecom expense structures
  • Familiarity with automated invoice processing tools or vendor portals
