Job Summary
:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Executive to join our company's finance team. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day financial operations, oversee cash flow, and ensure accurate recording of transactions including bookings, vendor payments, customer invoicing, and refund tracking. This role requires strong accounting skills, familiarity with travel industry processes, and the ability to manage multiple accounts efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
:

  • Handle daily accounting activities: accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
  • Process customer payments, refunds, and travel bookings in coordination with the sales and operations teams.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, travel-related vendor payments, and credit card reconciliations.
  • Generate invoices for clients and corporate accounts; track collections and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Maintain and reconcile travel bookings and supplier accounts (airlines, hotels, tour operators, etc.).
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Assist in managing commissions (received and payable) and ensure timely settlements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants for audit and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (GST, TDS, etc.) and maintain proper documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in accounting software.

Requirements:

  • Preferably Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field.
  • Mandatory 2+ years of finance/accounting experience, in the travel agency
    .
  • Familiarity
    with travel agency systems (e.g., Amadeus, Galileo, or similar GDS platforms) is a plus.
  • Proficient in travel agency accounting software
    (e.g., Catalyst).
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and tax compliance.
  • Attention to detail, with excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience handling B2B and B2C financial transactions.
  • Knowledge of travel agency commission structures and supplier relationships.
  • Hands-on experience with budgeting, cost control, and revenue analysis.
