Qualifications and Competencies:

  • DAE (Diploma of Associate Engineering) in Chemical from a recognized institution.
  • Candidates having NFPA-1 & or NFPA-1700 certification will be preferred.
  • Must have attended Lead fireman courses, Civil Defence courses and Rescue/ Firefighting techniques courses.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office is a must.
  • Should be a team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience:

  • Up to 12 years' HSE experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
  • Experience of Fire Management System aligned with NFPA codes is a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to attend all hydrocarbons and gas leakages alarm in plant area.
  • Conduct inspection, testing and maintenance of all emergency handling equipment (Fire Tenders and other equipment) to handle any emergency at plant site.
  • Plan and conduct dummy drills for skill enhancement of fire crew.
  • Conduct Emergency evacuation drills and prepare reports.
  • Conduct training of Emergency Response Teams, employees and contractor staff on Fire Safety Topics.
  • Provide coverage as required in JSAs for the tasks assigned.
  • Assist in internal & external audit of Fire Management System Elements.
  • Conduct in-house testing of fire management system elements.
  • Conduct inhouse calibration of gas meters.

  • PARCO Terminal Station (TS-1), Kemari, Karachi, Pakistan
