About the Role
We are a fast-growing Logistics SaaS / TMS platform serving carriers, brokers, and hybrid operations. As we scale into , we are expanding our investment in email and lifecycle marketing and seeking a Senior Email Marketing Manager to build, own, and scale this channel.
This is a role for someone who has done this before, someone who has taken a partially built or lightly used email channel, structured it into a lifecycle engine, and driven measurable growth in demos, meetings, and revenue.
You'll collaborate with content, design, ops, sales, and product, but you will be the sole owner of the lifecycle strategy, workflows, and performance outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Own Lifecycle Strategy
- Design the full lifecycle: lead nurture meeting, booked onboarding, adoption, retention, and re-engagement.
- Align lifecycle strategy with pipeline targets and leadership goals.
- Adapt messaging for different ICPs in logistics and TMS.
Build & Manage Automation
- Develop automated workflows in HubSpot (as we adopt it), ActiveCampaign, and SmartLead.
- Build and refine demo nurtures, thank-you flows, onboarding communications, feature announcements, and reactivation campaigns.
- Maintain clean workflow logic, triggers, and documentation.
Templates, Layouts & Execution
- Build or refine HTML templates using Stripo or similar tools.
- Collaborate with designers for visuals, layouts, and brand alignment.
- Ensure all emails are responsive, on-brand, and optimized for performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Align with Marketing on campaigns, messaging, and timing.
- Work closely with Sales to improve lead readiness, demo show rates, and follow-up flows.
- Partner with Product for feature announcements and customer education.
- Collaborate with Marketing Ops on segmentation, naming conventions, and lifecycle stage definitions.
Performance, Testing & Reporting
- Track performance metrics: open rates, CTR, demo conversions, reactivation rates, and engagement.
- Conduct A/B tests on content, subject lines, templates, timing, and journeys.
- Present monthly reports to leadership with insights and recommendations.
Playbooks & Documentation
- Build internal lifecycle playbooks.
- Document workflows, segments, naming conventions, and best practices for scalability.
Requirements
- 6 - 8 years in email marketing, lifecycle marketing, or CRM automation for B2B SaaS (logistics/TMS is a strong plus).
- Strong hands-on experience in HubSpot (or similar) + familiarity with ActiveCampaign and SmartLead.
- Ability to build/edit HTML templates (Stripo experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of segmentation, automation logic, triggers, and CRM structure.
- Proven track record of improving demo conversions or lifecycle performance.
- Confidence in presenting performance insights to leadership.
- Strong communication skills and sharp copy instincts.
