Job Title: QA Tester

Location: DHA Phase 2, Islamabad

Timings: 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM (Monday to Friday)

Role Summary:

The ideal candidate will ensure the quality and reliability of software products through comprehensive manual testing, documentation, and collaboration with development teams. Proficiency in QA methodologies, bug tracking tools, and creating detailed test documentation is essential. You will contribute to testing processes across the software development lifecycle, support iterative improvements, and ensure deliverables meet high standards and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and usability.
• Perform thorough manual testing to identify defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement in applications.
• Document test results, defects, procedures, and outcomes clearly for team reference and auditing purposes.
• Collaborate with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to gather requirements, reproduce issues, and verify fixes.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to align testing with development cycles.
• Track and report defects using tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or similar platforms, and provide updates on testing progress.
• Conduct regression, integration, functional, and exploratory testing to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Identify and report quality risks, recommending process improvements for better efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards, best practices, and compliance requirements.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) with clients and stakeholders to validate end-user satisfaction.
• Assist in mentoring junior QA team members and fostering a collaborative, quality-focused environment.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of testing artifacts, including test matrices and defect logs.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 2-5 years of experience as a QA Tester in software development or IT projects.

Skillset Required:

• Strong expertise in manual testing methodologies and creating detailed documentation for test cases, results, and processes.
• Proficiency in QA tools such as Jira, Trello, TestRail, or similar for bug tracking and test management.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams, collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to report defects clearly and present testing insights to teams.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and testing phases.
• Experience in defect management and ensuring product quality.
• Ability to prioritize testing tasks and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Familiarity with quality assurance processes, including exploratory and ad-hoc testing. Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in automation testing using tools like Selenium, Appium, or Cypress.
• ISTQB, CSTE, or other QA certifications is a plus.
• Experience testing in cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with software development technologies (e.g., , , PostgreSQL).
• Knowledge of performance testing, security testing, or API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
• Experience working with international clients or distributed teams.
