We're looking for an experienced Python Developer with strong backend expertise and advanced experience integrating communication APIs. You'll work on building and maintaining robust backend systems that power telephony and communication workflows using Twilio, Vonage, and SIP/VoIP technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain backend services using Flask or FastAPI.
  • Design, implement, and optimize APIs and background tasks using SQLAlchemy.
  • Integrate and manage advanced telephony workflows, including:
  • SIP trunking
  • DTMF tone handling
  • VoIP call routing
  • SMS and voice call automation
  • Build scalable, event-driven systems with asynchronous processing.
  • Collaborate with front-end engineers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver production-ready features.
  • Troubleshoot and enhance communication pipelines for performance and reliability.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of professional experience with Python.
  • Strong proficiency with Flask or FastAPI.
  • Solid understanding of SQLAlchemy and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
  • Advanced hands-on experience with Twilio and Vonage (Nexmo) APIs, including SIP and DTMF integrations.
  • Deep understanding of VoIP protocols and real-time communication systems.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, webhooks, and asynchronous task frameworks (Celery, RQ, etc.).
  • Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with AI/LLM integrations (e.g., conversational AI, voice assistants, or intelligent routing).
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Exposure to WebRTC, audio processing, or cloud platforms (AWS / GCP).
