Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Engineer with 3–4 years of experience in test automation to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining automated test scripts, improving test coverage, and integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical skills and a solid understanding of QA best practices in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
  • Collaborate closely with QA and development teams to identify and implement automation opportunities
  • Maintain and enhance test automation frameworks for reusability and scalability
  • Execute test suites, analyze results, and document/report bugs or issues
  • Ensure thorough test coverage of critical business workflows
  • Participate in test planning sessions and contribute to the overall QA strategy

Qualifications/Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 3–4 years of hands-on experience in automation testing
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java
  • Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Mocha, TestNG, Jest)
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs and hands-on experience with tools like Postman or REST Assured
  • Familiar with version control systems such as Git
  • Solid knowledge of SDLC and Agile development methodologies

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling)
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure
  • Relevant QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB)
