Job Description:

This position combines the responsibilities of a Product Owner, playing a pivotal role in leading agile software development projects using the Scrum framework. It requires someone with a unique blend of project management expertise, agile methodology knowledge, and business domain understanding.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management:

● Plan and manage project scope, budget, and timeline in alignment with agile principles.

● Track project progress and address risks or roadblocks proactively.

● Mentor the team on agile and scrum practices, fostering a collaborative and self-organizing environment.

● Lead and facilitate scrum ceremonies like sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

● Ensure smooth communication and collaboration between the team, stakeholders, and product owner.

● Implement agile and scrum processes efficiently, balancing flexibility with structure.

● Create and maintain continuous comprehensive project documentation including but not limited to user stories, acceptance criteria, sprint plans, and release notes during all stages of product development (PRDs, technical specs, etc.)

● Generate and present reports to stakeholders on project status, progress, and key metrics.

● Dive deep into project details and collaborate closely with the development team to understand technical challenges, identify solutions, and collaborate to make informed decisions.

1. Product Ownership:

● Focus on long-term product planning.

● Clearly communicate the product vision and business needs to the team.

● Act as the voice of the customer and represent stakeholder interests.

● Create and refine user stories, maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog.

● Work closely with the UI/UX design team using tools like Figma, and with the development team to estimate tasks and features.

● Conduct product demonstrations and gather feedback to improve the product. Focus on usability testing and market research, and collecting insights from customer-facing teams (support, sales) to refine product decisions.

● Make and communicate product scope-related decisions based on user needs and project feasibility.

Required Skills:

● Experience in product roadmapping and aligning it with the overall business goals and strategies.

● Experience in B2G and B2B businesses and clients.

● Strong knowledge of agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.

● Project management experience and skills, including planning, estimation, and risk management.

● Deep understanding of business domain and user needs.

● Excellent communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills.

● Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

● Aptitude for learning and adapting to new technologies and processes.

● Aptitude for analyzing system/product requirements and understanding software logic.

● Data Analysis skills or familiarity with tools like Google Analytics or Hotjar.

● Experience with feature prioritization frameworks (e.g., MoSCoW, RICE).

Additional Notes:

● This role requires someone who can switch hats effectively between leading the team and representing the product vision.

● Experience in both project management and product ownership is a plus.
