Artificial Intelligence Engineer

We're looking for someone who can help architect and evolve our AI Engine, which uses LLMs and incorporates hybrid search, memory abstraction, retrieval pipelines, and lightweight custom ML models to improve reasoning and ranking.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Design, develop, and iterate on LLM-powered conversational agents.

·       Implement in-memory and hybrid memory layers for short- and long-term context management.

·       Build reasoning/planner modules that decide how to process different user intents.

·       Integrate retrieval systems (e.g. Elasticsearch, Pinecone, Weaviate) with semantic and structured search.

·       Train and deploy lightweight models (e.g. ranking models, classifiers) to complement LLMs where necessary.

·       Support use cases like product recommendations, follow-ups on customized orders, order management, and pricing queries.

·       Collaborate with product and backend teams to connect the AI layer to tools like web-app actions, CRM actions etc.

·       Monitor performance, latency, and hallucination behavior — and improve reliability with fallback strategies and evaluators.

·       Stay up to date with the latest trends in applied AI — from prompting to distillation to retrieval-enhanced generation (RAG), MCP etc.

Qualifications:

·       Minimum Bachelor's with 2+ years of experience in the same AI field.

·       Proficiency in Python or

·       Experience working with OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or other LLM APIs.

·       Familiarity with embedding models (e.g. OpenAI, Cohere, or Sentence Transformers) and ANN search engines.

·       Understanding of structured prompting, function-calling APIs, and few-shot learning patterns.

·       Comfortable designing modular systems: chaining, context injection, planner/executor flows, etc.

·       Some experience with deploying or experimenting with ML models.

·       Understanding of Machine Learning Algorithms.

·       Ability to work with ambiguity, rapidly prototype ideas, and take ownership of technical direction.

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Hands-on experience with tools like LangChain, LangGraph, Haystack, or custom orchestration frameworks.

·       Exposure to fine-tuning, quantization, or distillation (via HuggingFace or LoRA).

·       Experience building recommendation pipelines or re-ranker models.

·       Understanding of voice interactions (TTS/STT), or social platform integrations like WhatsApp Cloud API.
