Job Functions

  • Install, configure, and upgrade PostgreSQL and MySQL on Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian).
  • Manage clustering, replication (streaming, logical, GTID-based), high availability (Patroni, HA Proxy, Keepalived), and disaster recovery.
  • Implement backup & recovery (pgBackRest, pg_dump, MySQL dump, pg_restore) and failover strategies.
  • Optimize performance through indexing, query tuning, and configuration adjustments.
  • Ensure security via user access controls, roles, privileges, SSL/TLS encryption, audits, and patching.
  • Monitor replication lag, slow queries, disk usage, and resource consumption using Prometheus & Grafana.
  • Automate DBA tasks via scripting; support ETL, version upgrades, and cross-platform data migrations.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and developers to optimize queries and indexing. Support data center operations.

Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on experience with Linux distributions (Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS, Debian).
  • Strong knowledge of replication, clustering, and high availability.
  • Proficiency in SQL tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Experience in backup, recovery, PITR, and WAL archiving.
  • Familiarity with scripting (Bash, Python) and automation tools.

Education & Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.


• 4–6 years of relevant experience in database administration.
