Position Overview

Join Lumenco ), a leading Canadian online store specializing in lighting solutions, as a Senior Category Specialist in our Product & Planning Department. This role focuses on driving category management, pricing strategies, and inventory optimization to enhance our e-commerce performance. You will lead reporting and analytical tasks, collaborate closely with the Canadian team lead and SEO specialists, and leverage your understanding of user navigation behavior to boost product visibility and sales. Ideal candidates are proactive, highly organized, and quick to learn our product catalog, with prior managerial experience in e-commerce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead pricing updates, clearance events, and seasonal promotions, ensuring alignment with market trends and pricing sensitivity.
  • Conduct in-depth competitor pricing benchmarking using tools like Price2Spy or manual research.
  • Oversee supplier and inventory updates, managing discontinued items and RFQs with precision.
  • Analyze user navigation behavior (e.g., cart abandonment, high-exit pages) to optimize category pages and promotional strategies.
  • Implement and test upsell, cross-sell, and related product strategies to maximize sales.
  • Generate detailed weekly/monthly reports on pricing, category performance, and user behavior trends.
  • Collaborate with the Canadian team lead via tools like Slack or Trello to align on strategic goals.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of experience in e-commerce, with at least 1–2 years in a managerial or team lead role.
  • Proven expertise in pricing analysis, category management, and product data management.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and data-driven decision-making.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, SEO concepts, and e-commerce platforms (Shopify experience preferred).
  • Deep understanding of user navigation behavior and site optimization strategies.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to learn product catalogs quickly.
  • Excellent English communication skills (C1/C2 proficiency) for seamless collaboration with international teams.
  • Comfortable working night shifts aligned with Canadian business hours (reliable internet and power backup required).
