Key Tasks:

The core responsibilities are:

Determining needs and coordinating the development and maintenance of network infrastructures with the IT team.

Install, configure, integrate, upgrade, and maintain network hardware, software and devices, including servers, switches, routers, firewalls, cameras and wireless devices, cabling and other wiring equipment.

Assist with day-to-day network operations and incident response. This includes, but not limited to, cybersecurity, the maintenance and administration of the college networks (both local and remote campus networks), VoIP system, camera security system and wireless devices.

Ensuring secure and stable server connectivity and testing network protocols.

Creating internet domains and optimizing intranet performance.

Testing data exchange and communication between computers, routers, modems, and servers.

Installing, updating, and configuring end-user networking accessories.

Monitoring server capacity and performance to keep up with demand in online traffic.

Running diagnostic tests and performing repairs, as well as developing backup, archiving, and data retrieval procedures.

Training junior IT staff, preparing user manuals, and providing remote or onsite technical support.

Enhancing network security, as well as documenting network processes and cabling layouts.

Keeping informed of developments in network technologies and infrastructure.

Coordinate with NTC, NADRA and other stakeholders in network and infrastructure establishment.

Qualifications:

1) Education/Training

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.

  • Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are highly desirable.

2) Language

  • English and Urdu at C1 level or above (based on CEFR levels).

3) General Professional Experience

  • 5 years of experience in network infrastructure development, IT systems management, or a related field.

  • 3 years Experience working in both local and remote campus network environments.

  • 5 years experience of server management, cybersecurity, and network administration

4) Specific Professional Experience

  • 5 years' hands-on experience with the installation, configuration, integration, and maintenance of network hardware and software, including servers, switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless devices.

  • 3 years experience in managing cybersecurity operations, incident response, and network troubleshooting.

  • 3 years experience in optimizing intranet performance, ensuring server connectivity, and testing data exchange protocols.

  • 1 year of experience with VoIP systems, camera security systems, and wireless network devices.

  • 2 years of experience running diagnostic tests, developing backup and data retrieval procedures, and monitoring network performance.

4) Leadership/Management Experience

  • 2 years experience in coordinating with external stakeholders like NTC, NADRA, and other relevant bodies for infrastructure establishment.

5) International Professional Experience Outside the Country/Region of Assignment

2 years experience working on international projects or exposure to international IT infrastructure development.

6) Professional Experience in the Country/Region of Assignment

  • 2 years of experience in network infrastructure development in the region of assignment.

7) Development Cooperation Experience

  • 1 year of experience working in development projects
