We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to manage comprehensive accounting functions, maintain financial records, and ensure regulatory compliance. This role involves preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable/receivable, and supporting month-end closing processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Work Nature: Remote

Timings: 7 pm to 3 am - Pakistan Standard Time

Core Responsibilities

Financial Record Management & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure strict adherence to accounting standards
  • Prepare comprehensive financial statements, reports, and analytical summaries for internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes with precision and timeliness
  • Ensure prompt tax filings and full statutory compliance across all applicable regulations

Daily Operational Functions

  • Record daily financial transactions and prepare accurate journal entries
  • Monitor bank transactions and perform detailed account reconciliations
  • Process and manage invoices with attention to accuracy and deadlines
  • Respond promptly to internal queries related to finance and accounting matters
  • Review and verify supporting documentation for all financial entries

Periodic Financial Responsibilities

  • Process payroll (when required) and record associated journal entries
  • Execute month-end closing procedures and prepare monthly financial statements
  • File monthly tax returns including sales tax and other regulatory requirements as needed
  • Conduct comprehensive periodic reconciliations of all assigned accounts
  • Generate management reports and variance analyses

Strategic Support & Special Projects

  • Assist with year-end financial statement preparation and external audit processes
  • Support accounting software system upgrades and transitions
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Collaborate with departments on financial planning, budgeting, and specialized reporting requirements
  • Participate in cross-functional projects requiring financial expertise

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems)
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling
  • Understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements
  • Experience with accounts payable/receivable management
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics
