1. Tax Compliance & Filing

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns including Income Tax, Sales Tax, and Withholding Tax.
  • Maintain and update tax records and documentation in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Review vendor and customer invoices to ensure proper tax deductions and compliance.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and advise management on their potential impact.

2. Tax Planning & Advisory

  • Assist in developing effective tax strategies to optimize tax liabilities within legal frameworks.
  • Support management in tax planning for new business initiatives or projects.
  • Evaluate tax implications of various transactions and provide recommendations.

3. Tax Audits & Assessments

  • Coordinate and represent the company during tax audits and assessments.
  • Prepare and compile supporting documentation required for tax notices or inquiries.
  • Draft replies to tax authorities and manage correspondence efficiently.

4. Reconciliation & Reporting

  • Reconcile tax balances in the general ledger and ensure proper accounting entries.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly tax reports for management review.
  • Support internal and external audit teams with tax-related information and schedules.

5. Coordination & Support

  • Liaise with external consultants, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (Accounts, Procurement, Sales) for tax-related matters.
  • Train and guide junior staff in tax compliance and documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Master's in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or ACCA / ICMA / CA (Part Qualified).
  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in taxation (preferably in a manufacturing setup).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of Income Tax Ordinance, Sales Tax Act, and Withholding Tax Rules.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and tax portals (FBR / PRA / SRB).
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
