About the Role

We are looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to take charge of our finance department. You will be responsible for handling everything from tax compliance and payroll processing to financial reporting and operational finance. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and reporting
  • Handling taxation processes, ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations
  • Processing and overseeing payroll to ensure accuracy and timely execution
  • Maintaining financial records, reconciliations, and month-end closing
  • Utilizing Xero software for accounting and financial reporting
  • Collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders on financial matters
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies
  • Ensuring follow-ups with clients and vendors on our receivables and payables
  • Have experience in making financial statements and conducting financial audits

What We're Looking For

  • Mid-level finance experience, preferably in an IT consulting or multinational/global company
  • Strong knowledge of taxation, payroll, and financial operations
  • Understanding of Australian tax laws and financial compliances
  • Hands-on experience with Xero software
  • Ability to work independently as the sole finance person in the company
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance
  • Good verbal and written communication
