ResponsibilitiesProvide necessary assistance to boiler engineer in ensuring safe operation of boilers/chillers and implementing preventive and breakdown maintenance activities related to steam generation and distribution. Specifically, you will be responsible to:
- assist engineer in safe operation and maintenance of boilers/chillers and related equipment in shifts
- arrange materials and other logistic beforehand for scheduled PPMs and work shoulder to shoulder with engineer to meet emergency breakdown situation
- identify major problems of plants and monitor rectification of the same in consultation with engineer
- thorough inspection of boilers/chillers and ancillary equipment for ensuring safety of equipment and manpower in plant room
- ensuring adherence to plant safety programs and meeting performance standards
- interact with maintenance control room and engineer for feedback and initiate action
- monitor and manage staff and provide training to them on critical equipment in plant room
- promote safety
- any other related task as assigned by engineer
- Diploma in mechanical technology, preferred
- more than 10 years of related work experience of managing steam generation and distribution system in a process plant, hotel or hospital environment
- knowledge about safe operation and maintenance of boilers/chillers and ancillary equipment
- good skills of leading a team
