• Analytical review of the reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, including the reconciliation of subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger.
• Monthly variance analysis from budget.
• Coordinate and oversee the preparation of year-end audit working papers including assets, liabilities, revenues and expenditures.
• Attendance at Board meeting where required.
• Work closely with the external audit team ensuring all necessary critical information is available to them.
• Review of monthly financial statements and distribution of accurate and reliable financial reports to the Board of Directors.
• Oversee the accounts receivable, cash receipts and accounts payable functions providing assistance to Directors and other team members in the review of operations and any other ad-hoc reports and requests.
• Maintenance of manuals documenting accounting procedures and policies including; data base, & other financial processes.
• Coach accounting team members, including review and approval of work assignments and training requirements of the team including completion of regular performance review.
• Other duties as requested by the President.
• Review and authorize cheque preparation.
• Prepare financial statements, reports and records through collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information.
• Maintain financial security by following internal controls; completing data backups.
• Accomplish tasks on time and contribute to the team by taking on special projects as needed.
• Plan & monitor reserve accounts and investments.
• Stay current with all regulations, practices, tax laws, reporting requirements and industry trends.

Requirements

• Accounting Experience of 10+ years, out of which 5 – 7 years should be in a Managerial role.
• Qualified CA/ ACCA / CPA (Canada) / ICAEW.
• Condominium accounting preferred.
• Knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, tax laws, and reporting requirements
• Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organisation.
• Effective working skills of MS Office and Power BI.
• Hands-on experience in Yardi Voyager / Shift Suite or any other Accounting software.
