Assistant/Deputy Manager Costing

Responsibilities include:

  1. Costing of Pharmaceuticals Products.
  2. Analysis of process constraints, target costing projects, margin analysis, and tracing costs back to underlying activities.
  3. Constructing and monitoring cost-effective data accumulation systems to provide appropriate costing information to management.
  4. Posting of data in QuickBooks and Oracle Based Customized Software.
  5. Checking of purchase orders.
  6. Coordinating physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
  7. Reviewing standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.
  8. Validating the cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close.
  9. Conducting ongoing process constraint analysis.
  10. Reporting on break-even points by products, work centres, and factories.
  11. Reporting on periodic variances and their causes, focusing particularly on spending variances.
  12. Introducing cost reduction measures.
Job Specification

Minimum qualifications include:

  1. ACMA / ACCA / CIMA (Partly qualified with relevant experience).
  2. Knowledge of MS-Office and computerized accounting packages, especially Oracle.
  3. Good interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.
  4. Knowledge of accounting and statutory requirements.
  5. Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, and agency rules.
  6. Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
