Assistant Manager Shipping

Job purpose of Assistant Shipping Manager is to support the Team Leader in providing overall management and supervision of the Shipping Team.
Key Duties/Responsibilities of Assistant Shipping Manager:- Ensure that all Team Members are following the Excel training program.
- Ensure that proper product standards and warehouse procedures are met on a timely basis.
- Work with and support other functions in the DC such as buyers, transportation, accounting, etc.
- Establish and maintain collaborative, productive, and supportive working relationships with the Facility Leadership Team, Team Leaders, and all Team Members.
- Establish and maintain a positive work environment, which sustains an exceptionally high level of Team Member morale. Provide timely, thorough, Team Member performance feedback and evaluations as well as progressive disciplinary actions when needed.
- Assist with and help supervise all operation processes of the Shipping Team.
- Complete, refine, and produce operational productivity and analytical reports as well as other special projects as needed.
- Consistently communicate, model, and enforce company policies, core values, vision/goals, and safety rules.
Additionally, maintain comprehensive knowledge of each of these areas. Interview, select, train, develop, and counsel Team Members in a manner that is conducive for building and sustaining a high performing team, and minimizes turnover.
