Job Description
  • Review monthly financial statements before presentation to senior management.
  • Analyze financial results against forecast and budget, and prepare reports for management review.
  • Review daily settlements, accounts payable/receivable, control accounts, and bank reconciliations.
  • Participate in transformation projects.
  • Provide support and guidance on IFRS technical issues.
Job Responsibilities
  • Review monthly management and financial reports; develop and maintain documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support technical accounting issues and advise on the financial implications of complex transactions.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of financial reports.
  • Monitor monthly capital adequacy, liquidity, and regulatory ratios to ensure compliance; review accounts, bank statements, payables, receivables, treasury income, deferred taxes, fixed asset register, and lease schedules.
  • Support and guide team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Review and approve daily settlements and schedules of branchless banking merchants.
  • Review dashboards and calculations related to branchless banking income, commissions, and costs.
  • Ensure aging analysis and asset/liability breakups are accurate and up-to-date; play a key role in transformation projects.
  • Ensure smooth month-end, quarterly, and yearly closing processes.
  • Coordinate statutory, group, and other audits.
  • Ensure financial statements and notes are prepared according to IFRS and SBP guidelines.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years in a senior position (AVP or above) in a large organization, preferably in banking or microfinance.
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA) or FCCA, preferably with articleship from a Big Four firm.
  • Strong analytical skills, adaptable, with experience managing 12-15 team members.
