We are seeking a proactive Senior Chemical Engineer to manage all aspects of chemical usage, ensure stringent compliance, and uphold superior quality control within our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the safe and efficient handling, usage, and storage of all chemicals and adhesives in the football manufacturing process, including special focus on PU pouring/mixing process. Special focus on Isocyanates and polyols i.e. polyurethane (PU) chemistry.
  • Manage and update comprehensive chemical inventory, including expiry dates, precise labeling, and up-to-date MSDS documentation.
  • Perform thorough quality inspections and chemical testing of raw materials, adhesives, inks, foams, and coatings.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize chemical processes to ensure strict adherence to local and international safety and environmental standards (e.g., REACH, RoHS, GOTS).
  • Design and implement robust chemical safety protocols and deliver effective training programs for factory personnel.
  • Ensure proper waste management and environmental compliance in all chemical handling procedures.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and external laboratories to secure necessary chemical certifications and documentation.
  • Work closely with R&D, Production, and Quality Assurance departments to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Generate monthly reports on chemical usage, expiry alerts, and audit readiness.
  • Lead and successfully navigate internal and external chemical audits for compliance and certification.

Qualifications:

  • BSc or MSc in Chemical Engineering from an HEC-recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in prominent chemical companies (e.g., BASF, ICI, H.B. Fuller) or established manufacturing setups, with a preference for experience in sports goods or other chemical-intensive industries.
  • Profound knowledge of chemical safety regulations, ISO standards, and factory compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and proven proficiency in laboratory testing techniques.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and specialized chemical inventory management tools.
