Overview

Job Title: Sr. Specialist Business Intelligence
Location: DHA Phase 5, Lahore
Experience Required: Minimum 5 years
Working Hours: 6:00pm to 3:00am

About the Role

We're looking for a Sr. Specialist Business Intelligence to design, implement, and optimize data solutions that power strategic decision-making across the organization. This role requires expertise in the Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI), strong analytical skills, and the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights. You'll collaborate with business leaders, manage vendor relationships, and ensure data integrity while contributing to enterprise-level reporting and analytics initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • ETL & Data Warehouse Management: Design, test, and implement ETL processes; manage fact and dimension tables; monitor and troubleshoot ETL jobs.
  • Reporting & Dashboards: Develop, deploy, and maintain self-service reports and dashboards in SSRS, SSAS, and Power BI; ensure data security via role-based access.
  • Business Requirements & Documentation: Translate reporting needs into technical requirements; document data extracts, automation processes, and analytics strategies.
  • Analysis Services: Build and maintain multidimensional models and Power BI data models, ensuring high performance and scalability.
  • Compliance & Security: Complete all mandatory compliance testing; support reporting processes related to OFAC, UAR, and suspicious activity monitoring.
  • Vendor & Project Management: Manage vendor relationships to ensure SLA compliance; oversee BI projects from initiation to implementation.
  • Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Partner with cross-functional teams to provide business solutions; stay updated with BI trends, tools, and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years in BI development, ETL, reporting, and SQL systems.
  • Minimum 3 years in Analysis Services (SSAS).
  • Financial industry experience preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI).
  • Proficiency in T-SQL, ANSI SQL, and stored procedures with complex parameters.
  • Familiarity with C# scripting for SSIS.
  • Experience with source control tools (e.g., TFS).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently when required.
