Job Title: Business Intelligence Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, enhancing, and maintaining business intelligence models to support organizational requirements.

The successful candidate will have experience in developing and implementing plans for improving business intelligence, designing, developing, testing, and maintaining Cognos dashboards, scorecards, reports, and queries based on user requirements.

The role requires strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities, as well as excellent interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills to support working in project environments that include internal, external, and customer teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create, enhance, and maintain Framework Manager models to support business requirements
  • Develop and implement plans for improving business intelligence
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Cognos dashboards, scorecards, reports, and queries
  • Develop, support, and monitor the Data Warehouse using ETL
  • Work with power users of the reporting tool to advise on best practices for the best use of BI
  • Manage reporting to ensure that scheduled jobs are successfully run and analytics data aligns to timeliness/completeness requirements
  • Tune databases used for reporting for optimal performance
  • Write efficient SQL and stored procedures against database tables on various platforms for data validation
Requirements:
  • 3+ years related experience
  • Proficiency with Cognos BI product suite (Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Query Studio, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Oracle Report Builder
  • Performance tuning experience related to reporting queries required
  • Understanding of data integration issues (validation and cleaning), familiarity with complex data and structures
  • Excellent interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills required to support working in project environments that includes internal, external, and customer teams
  • Requires strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
  • Programming/scripting experience and knowledge of software development life cycle preferred
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of experience, education, and training considered
