Overview

ibex. is seeking a Senior Linux Administrator with strong Linux, troubleshooting, networking, and scripting skills to join our Global Server Operations (GSO) team. The GSO team is responsible for developing tools to automate and support the deployment, management, and monitoring of infrastructure. The candidate in this position will take a lead role in supporting and building these highly available and highly scalable solutions that help empower IBEX Facilities globally.

Responsibilities
  • Provide infrastructure support and system tuning
  • Automate daily routines and system deployment
  • Ensure security and audit compliance
  • Enhance application scalability and redundancy
  • Maintain deep knowledge of Linux systems
  • Develop scripts for automation and monitoring
  • Manage public cloud environments
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5-6 years of Linux experience and at least 5 years in Private/Public Cloud
  • Expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (REHL) and Ubuntu
  • Knowledge of kernel tuning and OS monitoring tools
  • Experience with build automation tools like 'make', Maven, Jenkins
  • Proficiency in Shell (bash, ksh) and Python scripting
  • Familiarity with orchestration and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible)
  • In-depth knowledge of public cloud platforms, preferably AWS
  • Understanding of infrastructure and security services (load balancing, firewalls, encryption)
  • Experience with traditional and microservices application architectures
  • Experience with Linux container environments (Docker, CoreOS, Open Container Initiative)
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure Templates, DevOps)
  • Knowledge of application containerization and Kubernetes (EKS/AKS, ECS)
  • Ability to guide infrastructure migration to cloud
  • Experience leading cloud adoption initiatives and best practices
  • Familiarity with networking concepts on Cloud and Hybrid environments (VPC, VNET, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute)
  • Understanding of agile methodologies and project management basics
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and conflict management skills
  • Ability to operate in a 24x7 environment and lead technical projects
  • Experience mentoring team members and communicating complex concepts effectively
