The Position
We seek a DevOps Engineer based in Karachi, working as part of the division-based R&D team. You will utilize your Windows & Linux experience, network knowledge, and debugging skills to monitor and respond to operational events within CAKE's platform.

LiveOps - Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in LiveOps functions.
  2. Manage servers: configuration, management, patching (Windows/Linux).
  3. Handle IIS Management and 3rd party Domain/SSL management.
  4. Participate in on-call rotations.
  5. Respond to system alerts and perform root cause analysis.
  6. Maintain internal tickets for customer issues.
  7. Troubleshoot databases and communicate constraints.
  8. Document processes and procedures.
  9. Maintain composure under pressure.
  10. Implement DNS management with 3rd party tools.
  11. Use scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc.) for deployment and maintenance.
  12. Possess basic MS SQL Server administration and scripting skills.

Communication & Teamwork:

  • Work collaboratively in a results-driven environment.
  • Communicate service health and status internally.
  • Ensure quality through accountability and testing.
  • Promptly report defects or issues.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience; 2-3 years DevOps experience.
  • Minimum 2 years managing cloud infrastructure.
  • At least 3 years of system administration experience.
  • Knowledge of git, Linux, Windows Server, IP routing, ELB, CDN, VPC.
  • Scripting skills: shell, PowerShell, Python, Bash.
  • Web tech: DNS, HTTP, SSL.
  • Database knowledge: MS SQL, MySQL, Postgres.
  • Strong documentation and security assessment skills.
