PURPOSE

Major stakeholder in up-keep of the communication status of smart meters across the company. The responsibilities include monitoring and controlling the technical support of AMI assets pre and post-installation activities, planning and facilitation of field surveys. Oversee troubleshooting of communication related issues by aligning resources for field surveys. Provision of resources for on-field support during AMI project executions. Own the development and upkeep of smart meters standard technical specifications. Responsible for post-commissioning operations of AMI projects/rollouts up till success declaration of project before handing over to end-user.

Establishing integrated planning across different business units involved in smart meters installation and commissioning within the limits of organizational policies, SOPs, departmental objectives, directions/guidelines from supervisor.

The responsibilities directly impact the smart meters communication scorecards, smart meter coverage, data availability, and billing processes.

Minimum Requirements

Education & Relevant Experience:

BS Engineering (Electrical/Electronics)

4-5 years of experience

1 Operational Support for AMI Rollouts/POCs 25

Provision of resources for on-field support during AMI project executions and undertaking operations till success declaration. This includes the following:

• Responsible for site commissioning of projects/roll outs/ POCs under AMI ambit
• Owner of post-commissioning operations of AMI projects/rollouts up till success declaration of project before handing over to end-user
  
  

2 Smart Meters Operations & Maintenance (O&M) 40

Ensuring communication KPI of smart meters installed across KE distribution function through dedicated operations and maintenance. This includes the following:

• Align resources for joint surveys to troubleshoot and resolve of communication related issues
• Develop Predictive Maintenance plans for smart meters communication infrastructure
• Oversee resource allocation of Joint survey activity for resolution of noncommunicative meters
• Develop matrices for Conditional Monitoring of smart meters
• Devising Asset Maintenance Management strategies
• Overseeing Configuration of smart meters as per defined NEPRA standards within TATs
• Remote operational support for AMI infrastructural components and equipment through On-demand analysis
• Custodian of Field Operational Support on Maintenance Framework (MF)
• Responsible for maintaining right inventory of communication devices (modems, sims etc.)
• Ensuring Operational HSEQ compliance in configuration and commissioning of smart meters
• Monitoring of Operational KPIs by upkeeping of AMI O&M Dis. Performance Dashboards and Reports
  
  

3 O&M SOPs compliance 10

• Ensuring compliance and operations on AMI components Lifecycles & SOPs
• Owner of Product Technical Documentation Support for AMI Policies, SOPs, Life Cycles, and Frameworks on smart meters
  
  

4 Smart Meter Standards & Technical documentation 10

• Owner of all SOPs, policies and codes and specs related to AMI assets at Dist level
• Governance of implemented standard codes and specifications for smart meters
  
  

5 Resources Management 15

Building high performance teams by coaching and mentoring, resolving conflicts, developing their strengths, and improving their opportunities areas. This includes:

• Building Capability of company resources on implemented Framework for cultivating Operational Excellence through company-wide trainings on smart meters installation and operational SOPs
• Identifies training requirements of the team, contribute in performance management of direct reports through employee's engagement activities
• Creates team spirit and ensures seamless interaction among team members for increased efficiency and output
• Design performance indicators and creates learning and improvement plans for team
• Ensure availability of required resources, skill set, and expertise via developing capability building plans for teams
