A Human Resources Manager, or HR Supervisor, is responsible for coordinating all administrative activities related to an organization's personnel. Their duties include developing recruitment strategies, implementing systems for managing staff benefits, payroll, and behavior, and onboarding new employees.

Responsibilities

  1. Recruit and onboard new hires and conduct performance management.
  2. Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
  3. Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  4. Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities.
  5. Create a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys; keep the strategy up to date.

Qualifications

  1. A bachelor's degree in human resources, labor relations, organizational development, business, or a related area; relevant work experience may be a substitute.
  2. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  4. Experience with the human resources information system (HRIS) used by your company, such as Workday, Zoho People, Cloud HR, Smart Recruiters, and others.
  5. Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, safety, hiring, and employee relations; able to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations.
  6. Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and teamwork.
  7. Experience with analyzing data to guide strategic employment planning.
