A Human Resources Manager, or HR Supervisor, is responsible for coordinating all administrative activities related to an organization's personnel. Their duties include developing recruitment strategies, implementing systems for managing staff benefits, payroll, and behavior, and onboarding new employees.

Responsibilities

  1. Recruit and onboard new hires and conduct performance management.
  2. Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
  3. Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  4. Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities.
  5. Create a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys; keep the strategy up to date.
  6. Investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolution.
  7. Ensure the organization's compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  8. Use performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to the team.
  9. Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently.
  10. Maintain company organization charts and employee directory.
  11. Partner with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiatives.
  12. Maintain HR systems and processes.
  13. Conduct performance and salary reviews.
  14. Design and implement employee retention strategies.
Job Specification

Qualifications

  1. A bachelor's degree in human resources, labor relations, organizational development, business, or a related area; relevant work experience may be a substitute.
  2. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  4. Experience with the human resources information system (HRIS) used by your company, such as Workday, Zoho People, Cloud HR, Smart Recruiters, and others.
  5. Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, safety, hiring, and employee relations; able to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations.
  6. Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and teamwork.
  7. Experience with analyzing data to guide strategic employment planning.
