It is the University's mission to provide high quality study programmes that meet the needs of international students and help them to achieve their maximum potential in UK higher education. The post holder is responsible for assisting the Director in the implementation and communication of the University's student recruitment strategy in Pakistan and will hold primary responsibility for recruiting to specified targets.

Job Specification

Main duties and responsibilities

  1. Assist the Director to implement University's marketing & recruitment strategy in Pakistan.
  2. In liaison with the Director devise and deliver market plans to increase the University's profile in and market share of the Pakistan student recruitment market.
  3. Develop an agreed number of new recruitment sources (particularly schools and colleges).
  4. Maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders (agents, feeder institutions, British Overseas Missions, and British Council offices).
  5. Conduct training of counselors at agent offices and also hold interview sessions.
  6. Interview potential applicants and conduct information seminars and presentations wherever required.
  7. Maintain constant and systematic contact with active agent network.
  8. Attend fairs/exhibitions where required.
  9. Undertake conversion activities to convert inquiries to applicants, applicants to acceptances, and acceptances to enrollments.
  10. Liaise with the University admissions office and International Officer to ensure the rapid turnaround of applications and a high level of service to agents and applicants.
  11. Produce monthly activity plans and monthly activity reports to the Director.
  12. Assist with market research that will inform and enhance international student recruitment from the region.
  13. Ensure execution of strategy and market plans that meet targets within designated countries.
  14. Produce trip proposals prior to all trips, including proposed expenditure, for approval by the Director.
  15. Support the Director in the overall management of resources and in the implementation of the international strategy in the region.
  16. Ensure that all marketing activities and spend are undertaken with a view to maximizing recruitment and minimizing cost per student recruitment.
  17. Travel to designated areas as required (up to 4 weeks on the road per trip and up to 25 weeks on the road per year) in order to undertake target-based recruitment activities. Weekend work is often involved (No time in lieu is granted for the use of weekends).
  18. Perform other such duties as required.
  19. Make at least 1 trip to the UoN per year for training and familiarization purposes.
