The Department of Anaesthesia at the Aga Khan University Hospital provides perioperative care and other operating room facilities for all surgical procedures, intensive care to critically ill surgical patients in the surgical intensive care unit, as well as acute and chronic pain management services. Our department has a mix of anesthesiologists, qualified nurses, and highly trained surgical and anesthesia technicians. We are committed to delivering compassionate, ethical, accessible, and high-quality care to all patients requiring surgery, anesthesia, intensive care, and pain services.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to:

  • maintain and develop reports and trends of indicators etc. Perform statistical analysis and prepare performance reports area-wise.
  • meet consultants to ensure their satisfaction and follow up to resolve complaints and provide timely feedback about the issues to the Business Manager or designee.
  • effectively coordinate with all support services and work closely with the Business Manager to ensure patient satisfaction and maintain appropriate service standards at all levels.
  • Enter patient billing daily and update it, as billing is resolved, run pending billing daily and close it.
  • Identify Admin staff training and learning needs
  • Assist Assistant Manager to ensure prompt completion of various tasks.
  • Conduct studies of indicators by collecting data, analyzing it and make recommendations
  • Identify inter-departmental gaps OR/RR/SDC/CSSD and work on them to improve patient flow.
Requirements

You should have:

  • a Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred or equivalent qualification in a related area
  • 3 – 5 years of related work experience preferably in an Operating Room
  • ability to effectively work in teams as well as independently and handle work pressure
  • knowledge of MS Excel and Powerpoint
