We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Medical Biller with 1–2 years of experience in medical billing and accounts receivable (AR) processes. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of the revenue cycle, claim submission, denial management, and AR follow-up in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and process insurance claims for accuracy and completeness.
  • Submit claims to insurance companies electronically or via paper as required.
  • Follow up with insurance companies and third-party payers on unpaid or underpaid claims.
  • Resolve claim denials and rejections in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform AR follow-up and maintain aging reports to reduce outstanding balances.
  • Coordinate with insurance companies, patients, and providers to resolve billing issues.
  • Post payments, adjustments, and write-offs accurately in billing software.
  • Maintain documentation and update patient accounts as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare billing regulations.
  • Collaborate with senior billers and team leads for escalated issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • 1–2 years of experience in medical billing with a strong focus on AR follow-up.
  • Familiarity with billing software (e.g., Office Ally, Kareo, AdvancedMD, Athena, etc.).
  • Understanding of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS codes and insurance guidelines.
  • Good knowledge of insurance claim life cycle, including Medicare/Medicaid, commercial insurances, and HMOs.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Attention to detail and good analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in working with US healthcare providers or billing companies
