To be responsible for integrating the hospital strategic plan with operations to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the hospital, including management of the profit and loss statement for the hospital's business, as well as the related resources associated with hospital operations to deliver the best healthcare services to patients and achieve financial sustainability.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute an operational plan for the hospital to provide outstanding healthcare services and increase patient numbers in OPD/IPD.
  • Ensure smooth hospital operations and provide guidelines to the hospital team for effective functioning.
  • Prepare proposals with estimates for new projects such as construction, renovation, and maintenance, aligned with the hospital's five-year plan.
  • Participate in strategic and operational planning under the leadership of the CEO of Teaching Hospitals.
  • Ensure the availability of competent human resources within approved budgets, supervise staff training, and promote outstanding performance.
  • Implement initiatives to foster a hospital culture that encourages positivity, knowledge sharing, responsibility, flexibility, empowerment, and patient-centered care.
  • Collaborate with communities, educational institutions, and NGOs for healthcare awareness campaigns, medical campus development, and patient attraction.
  • Provide leadership support to the Manager of Operations to ensure optimal facility management, ambulance services, transport, hostels, and cafeterias.
  • Ensure the execution of preventive maintenance plans for biomedical equipment to guarantee their smooth operation.
  • Manage supply chain processes for medical and non-medical items to support hospital functions.
  • Participate in the hospital's budget planning and assist the CEO in obtaining approval for the operational budget.
  • Manage hospital finances within budgetary guidelines and ensure compliance with policies and laws.
  • Achieve revenue and profitability targets through quality healthcare services and monitor progress regularly.
  • Deliver cost-effective healthcare by implementing process improvements, efficient purchasing, and resource utilization.
  • Implement technology integration in hospital operations via HIMS/SAP systems.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality medical and nursing care, with regular monitoring through rounds in OPD, wards, OT, pharmacy, and lab.
  • Execute marketing strategies, especially on social media, to promote hospital services and meet revenue targets as per the hospital's five-year plan.
  • Ensure ISO 9001:2015 standards are implemented and maintained, with successful audits and no deviations.
  • Develop operational plans for high-quality healthcare and ensure outstanding patient experiences in outpatient and inpatient services.
  • Manage quality documentation, audits, and implementation of audit recommendations in coordination with the TQM department.
  • Oversee undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs in line with PMDC/CPSP guidelines.
  • Implement continuous medical education programs for medical and nursing staff and evaluate their impact on patient care.
  • Promote the Riphah Mission and Islamic Ethical Values among staff, ensuring these are reflected in daily actions and behaviors.
