The Unit Head Centralized Processingis responsible for leading all core operational functions of the microfinance bank through a centralized platform, with a strong focus on operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and service excellence. This role entails oversight of end-to-end process execution, risk management, and team leadership, while serving as a critical liaison amongst branches, internal departments, and regulatory bodies to drive sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Centralized Operations Management

  • Supervise all centralized operational functions such as:
  • Account Opening and Maintenance
  • Disbursements and Repayments
  • Cheque Handling and Loan Securities
  • RTGS/IBFT Transactions
  • CNIC/Verisys/NADRA Biometric Verifications
  • Dormant/Deceased Accounts Processing
  • Charges Processing and Reversal Management
  • Ensure timely execution as per internal TATs and regulatory SLAs.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify process gaps and develop SOPs.
  • Coordinate with IT/Digital teams for automation initiatives.
  • Ensure CBS configurations remain effective and controlled.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to SBP and AML/CFT guidelines.
  • Coordinate with Compliance, Risk, and Internal Audit functions.
  • Monitor transactions and review exception reports regularly.

People & Team Management

  • Lead and develop the centralized operations team.
  • Optimize resource allocation and monitor team KPIs.
  • Conduct training and capacity-building programs.

Reporting & MIS

  • Generate and submit operational performance reports.
  • Track KPIs, error trends, and service-level deviations.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as liaison with branches and internal departments.
  • Address escalated matters and ensure issue resolution.
  • Strong knowledge of microfinance and banking operations
  • Familiarity with SBP and Microfinance Prudential Regulations
  • Proven leadership and strategic decision-making skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 8–10 years of banking operations experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership/managerial role
  • Microfinance banking experience will be preferred
