Manage contracts for all categories (IT and non-IT) globally – key countries are UAE, India, Egypt and Pakistan

This involves various activities as below:

  • Assist in ensuring that CPD is able to deliver the "Contract Lifecycle Management" (CLM) solution in 2025. This involves working closely with the implementation partner of the chosen CLM vendor (post RFP) to ensure that CLM is smoothly implemented
  • Ensure contracts assigned (renewal or new) are fully completed, on time
  • Provide guidance to junior peers either in GCM(global contracts management) or to anyone in CPD
  • Ensure regular and open communication with both internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Structured, Consistent, Risk Aware application of controls and oversight of spend.
  • Explore new and innovative ideas for, automation, modernizing and simplifying contract management
  • Through personal efforts, upgrade oneself on the latest best practices
  • Providing monthly inputs for compilation of departmental MIS
  • Assist & Guide Stakeholders in drafting Scope, BOQ or Commercial template.
  • Prepare all control reports on regular intervals, including Weekly Report, Lean Huddle Boards, Team workflow and other control reports upon request
  • Living the values of the bank, strictly adhering to Mashreq code of conduct

Key Result Areas

  • Input for Procurement Policy (PP), SOP Revision, and visibility of PP Compliance to PP internally and externally.
  • Good command in customer service, removal of bottlenecks, training stake holders, dispute and escalation management.
  • Maintain strict compliance with the Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement and principles.

Operating Environment, Framework and Boundaries, Working Relationships:

  • Reporting to the AVP, Procurement, CPD
  • Team work, punctuality, innovation, willingness to take more responsibility.
  • Increase of process efficiency, value added service.
  • Adherence to Procurement Policy (PP), Banks operating process and procedures must maintain confidentiality of banks and vendor's information, documents etc.
  • Assistance in providing inputs for Risk reporting.
  • Escalation of internal misconduct, breach of code of ethics, confidentiality etc.

Problem Solving:

  • Meet potential suppliers and vendors
  • Meet the end users and explain the importance Of compliance and Policy adherence

Decision Making Authority and Responsibility:

  • Basic knowledge and responsibility for assisting in completing assigned contracts (both tech and non-tech categories)
  • Contract negotiation regarding quality, lead time, flexibility, availability, market reputation, terms of payments and warranties.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Graduate with about 15 years of Indirect procurement experience
  • Strong PC Skills i.e. Excel, Word, MIS office, Power Point. Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiar with Oracle Procurement, procurement features and functions (preferred)
  • Professional, with a proven track record of integrity and ethical values
