Job Summary

A Principal Software Engineer for ReactJS at Creative Chaos is primarily responsible for developing server applications across various software platforms, including but not limited to writing RESTful APIs for client consumption. The engineer ensures that the application's functionality, security, and performance align with design specifications and are bug-free. Additionally, principal engineers lead teams, mentor members through ongoing training, and provide guidance.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of software engineers
  • Mentor team members through training and guidance
  • Analyze business requirements
  • Estimate assigned tasks
  • Write code and unit tests
  • Collaborate with team members
  • Optimize code for security and performance
  • Maintain systems by resolving issues
  • Update issue tracking software
  • Provide status updates
  • Communicate with clients
  • Manage code versions
  • Research new technologies
  • Upgrade skills and knowledge
  • Evaluate candidates for open positions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in JavaScript technologies
  • Experience with HTML and CSS for UI development
  • Experience with ReactJS, Redux, and Context API
  • Knowledge of design systems like Material-UI or Atomize
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and security compliance
  • Experience writing unit tests with at least 90% coverage
  • Familiarity with Git, JIRA, and collaboration tools
  • Basic understanding of back-end technologies
  • Flexible attitude and versatile personality
  • Strong presentation and influence skills
