What You'll Be Doing
  • Provide excellent support and solutions to customers via tickets, chat, emails, Premium Slack, Skype, etc.
  • Assist customers with empathy and understanding of their needs.
  • Work effectively in a 24/7 environment, with flexibility for rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Perform complex web migrations and support junior team members with their migration processes.
  • Convert complex chat queries into tickets when necessary.
  • Support junior team members with alerts on different monitoring frameworks (Slack, Sensu, Zabbix).
  • Monitor and respond to abuse reports in coordination with relevant teams.
  • Assist Team Leads in developing and improving internal tools and dashboards.
  • Handle complex queries on chats/tickets and support junior staff.
  • Provide basic technical training to juniors.
  • Address complex infrastructure issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Review weekly chats & tickets to identify recurring issues for process improvements.
  • Automate procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues via live chat is a plus.
Job Specification
  • BSc/BE in Computer Science/Engineering or related field with 4-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong programming concepts; PHP expertise, with knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Bash, and Python as a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux environments (Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS) and web technologies (Apache, Nginx, Varnish, Memcached, MySQL, PHP-FPM).
  • Experience in system performance troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of various services (GIT, SMTP, DNS, OpenVPN, Postfix, Crons, SSL, Sensu).
  • Log analysis skills (syslog, stack traces).
  • Ability to handle new/unknown technical issues proactively.
  • Strong web application migration experience, including troubleshooting and CLI skills.
  • Experience with PHP-based open-source web applications (WordPress, Drupal, Magento).
  • Good MySQL skills.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools like Opsgenie and Sensu.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently, including shifts.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Understanding of systems and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Process-oriented and proactive approach.
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills.
  • Ability to operate in Agile and Kanban environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, GCE).
  • Experience supporting high-availability PaaS/cloud environments.
  • Good mentorship skills.
