Role OverviewAs a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will be the first point of contact for potential clients, playing a critical role in driving sales growth by generating and qualifying leads. Focused on the U.S. market, this role demands exceptional communication skills, persistence, and a results-driven mindset.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, especially in IT and software solutions.
- Conduct market research to understand client needs.
- Proactively reach out via calls, emails, and social media to generate leads (SQL & MQL).
- Manage inbound leads and qualify their potential.
- Qualify leads using criteria like BANT and transfer high-quality leads to sales management.
- Schedule meetings, demos, or calls with prospects.
- Research decision-makers within target industries.
- Maintain accurate lead records in CRM systems such as Salesforce or Dynamics 365.
- Meet or exceed KPIs including outreach activities and meetings booked.
- Stay informed about industry trends and company offerings.
- Undergraduate/Postgraduate in Business, Marketing, IT, or related fields.
- 2+ years of sales experience in the IT industry targeting the US/European markets.
- Experience in prospecting, cold calling, appointment setting, demand generation, and lead qualification.
- Understanding of outsourcing services and client needs.
- Data-driven decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency with CRM tools like Salesforce, Hubspot, or Dynamics.
- Strong presentation, interpersonal, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven track record of meeting sales KPIs in fast-paced environments.
- Number of qualified leads (SQLs & MQLs)
- Meetings scheduled with decision-makers
- CRM data accuracy
- Number of new target accounts identified
- Volume and quality of leads passed to sales
- Response time to inbound leads
- Weekly activity levels (calls, emails, messages)
