
Patient Calling Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Patient Calling Specialist with experience in medical billing and revenue cycle management (RCM) to join our team. This role involves contacting patients of an orthopedic practice with pending balances, providing billing details, resolving queries, and encouraging timely payments before accounts go to collections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Call patients with outstanding balances, explain account details, and encourage payment.
- Provide accurate information on co-pays, deductibles, adjustments, write-offs, and insurance coverage.
- Address patient inquiries professionally and offer solutions based on billing guidelines.
- Use medical billing software to access and update patient records.
- Maintain detailed call logs and collaborate with internal teams for accurate account updates.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in the medical billing and RCM industry, particularly in patient interaction roles.
- Familiarity with billing terms like EOB, co-pays, deductibles, and insurance eligibility.
- Proficiency in medical billing software.
- Strong communication and persuasion skills in English.
- Problem-solving ability to handle sensitive patient concerns.
- Experience in orthopedic practices is a plus.

- Proven success in resolving patient balances and driving payments.
- Understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
