Overview

Position Title: Junior Project Engineer

Location: Conrwala Plant

Workplace type: On Site

As a Junior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for preparation of P&IDs, piping plans, equipment layouts and BOQs, and for project execution. Cost estimation in coordination with other Engineers for any project. Supervision/billing of contractor's jobs. This role reports to Manager Projects.

What You Will Do
  • Preparation of Drawings: Prepare P&IDs, piping plans, equipment layouts and BOQs for proposed projects.
  • Cost Estimation: Compile the list of equipment required and estimate project costs.
  • Project Execution: Manage equipment lists and cost estimation for projects and oversee execution.
  • Materials Management: Supervise on-site work to ensure compliance with approved drawings and company standards.
  • Resolving Issues: Analyze and resolve day-to-day issues with stakeholders during project execution.
  • Company Safety Policies: Strictly comply with safety policies and supervise contractors to observe safety requirements at site.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and report project progress documents such as procurement updates, equipment ordering and delivery dates, and site progress.
What You Will Bring
  • B.Sc Chemical Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience (preferably in preparation of P&IDs, piping plans, equipment layouts and BOQs and execution).
  • Experience in Rafhan Maize Products' production department is a plus.
  • Computer skills with proficiency in relevant software/operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
