Accountant, Bookkeeper, Income Tax Practitioner, Intermediary SECP

About the Role:

key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file Income Tax Returns, Sales Tax Returns, and Withholding Tax Statements (FBR, PRA, SRB).
  • Respond to FBR notices and handle tax audits and correspondence.
  • Prepare and maintain tax computations for individuals, AOPs, and companies.
  • Conduct sales tax reconciliations and manage purchase and sales records.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and filing in compliance with tax regulations.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulatory policies.
  • Assist in monthly and annual financial closing.
  • Support senior staff with general accounting and bookkeeping tasks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (M.Com, B.Com, BBA, etc.).
  • 1 to 3 years of practical experience in taxation or a related role.
  • Proficiency in FBR IRIS, MS Excel, and accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of Income Tax Ordinance 2001 and Sales Tax Act 1990.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with SECP filings is a plus.
  • Familiarity with e-filing portals and reconciliation tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
