Position

Associate Dean of Pre-Clinical Sciences (PCS) – School of Medicine

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the School of Medicine, including curriculum development and delivery.
  2. Lead and manage academic and administrative staff, ensuring balanced workloads and accountability.
  3. Supervise hiring of faculty and staff for the School of Medicine.
  4. Oversee the planning and implementation of students' academic schedules and other university-wide operations.
  5. Maintain and enhance the academic standards of the School of Medicine.
  6. Plan and submit work plans, course assignments, schedules, and outlines.
  7. Foster professional development, teaching excellence, and research initiatives among faculty.
  8. Collaborate with external institutions for clinical training partnerships.
  9. Support the Faculty Dean in administration and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
  1. Eligible to become a licensed medical practitioner.
  2. Specialist Medical Practitioner with a terminal qualification in the relevant specialty.
  3. Minimum 7 years of experience in the medical specialty.
  4. At least 4 years of experience in medical administration or education.
  5. Stationed at the University of Belize's Belmopan Campus.
Compensation

Salary will be based upon experience.
