Position Overview: The Operations Specialist - Cloud Billing will design and implement cloud and software billing operational processes to optimize efficiency with minimal manual intervention. This role captures details for subscriptions and offers and aligns data points to define terms, Billing, Pricing, Subscription Periods, Notification Schedules, Recurring fees, etc. The candidate must communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and demonstrate attention to detail, process improvement, and critical thinking in ambiguous situations.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with key internal stakeholders within Zones regarding automated flow of subscriptions, orders, billing, and pricing
  • Design and implement cloud and software billing processes to optimize efficiency and accuracy, enable automation of billing and customer self-service
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (PPM, CSD, and ZCP) to identify opportunities for automated flow process optimization and minimize manual uplift
  • Analyze billing data and generate reports to support decision-making and forecasting
  • Ensure compliance, identify gaps and proactively execute action plans
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders from manufacturer partners to ensure operational and technical readiness in the Zones Cloud platform
  • Implement, develop, and maintain operational processes to drive program success
Education/Certification

What you will bring to the team:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, IT or related field
Required Experience
  • E-commerce experience (subscription order processing, SaaS application order processing)
  • Experience with Subscription Sales and Management SaaS Platforms or Cloud Brokerage platforms (e.g., AppDirect, PAX8, Tech-Data StreamOne, SoftwareOne PyraCloud, Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace, iPortalis, ActivePlatform, Cloudmore, Nuvolex, Cloudfx, Aria Systems, Zuora)
  • Finance, accounting, Dynamics AX and CRM are a plus
  • Strong communication skills; ability to communicate professionally across forums (Skype for Business, email, phone)
  • Manage escalations professionally
  • Reporting and monthly/weekly reconciliation
  • Recurring task management
  • Maintain rigorous operational processes
  • Provide detailed and relevant feedback to leadership
  • Ongoing maintenance of documented processes
