About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented
Insurance Verification Intern
to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will work closely with our
Medical Billing and Insurance Verification Specialist
to learn the end-to-end process of insurance verification, billing workflows, and patient eligibility checks. This internship is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates or students interested in healthcare administration, insurance, and medical billing.

Key Responsibilities (under supervision):

  • Assist in reviewing scheduled patients and preparing for insurance verification.
  • Learn how to prioritize verification tasks based on appointment urgency and insurer timelines.
  • Support in completing PPO/HMO forms with guidance from the specialist.
  • Enter patient and insurance information into company databases accurately.
  • Observe and practice verification methods to confirm patient eligibility.
  • Shadow the specialist in communication with patients and insurers.
  • Help in resolving basic discrepancies and escalating complex issues when needed.
  • Gain exposure to compliance metrics and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Recently completed a
    Bachelor's degree

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills; familiarity with MS Office (knowledge of medical billing software is a plus).
  • Interest in healthcare administration, billing, or insurance verification.
