Job Description

Detail-oriented and trustworthy individual required to manage cheque handling, system updates, and banking-related tasks. The role demands a proactive and organized approach, with comfort in handling financial documentation and supporting operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Receive cheques/pay orders from key account customers
  2. Verify cheque details and deposit into appropriate bank accounts
  3. Record and update payment entries in the accounting system
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  5. Follow up with banks on cheque clearance, discrepancies, and related issues
  6. Reconcile bank statements and resolve mismatches
  7. Coordinate with internal departments and customers on payment status
  8. Handle banking-related activities including deposits, withdrawals, and documentation
  9. Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations
  10. Provide support to the dispatch rider in carrying out his duties, as and when required
  11. Perform any additional tasks or responsibilities assigned by the reporting manager or skip-level manager

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or related field
  • Familiarity with computer systems such as MS Office 2024 (e.g., Word, Excel & Power Query)
  • Basic understanding of banking procedures and financial documentation
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in handling cash and cheques
  • Effective communication and coordination abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
