Job Description - IT Manager

To manage the IT function on a day-to-day operational basis.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. To ensure maximum availability of computer systems throughout the Company.
  2. Commissioning and Decommissioning of EITV Devices.
  3. Responsible for the provision of IT infrastructure services including desktop applications, Local and/or Wide area networks, IT security, and telecommunications.
  4. Development and implementation of new systems.
  5. Working with senior management to propose, agree, and deliver IT service to defined Service Level Agreements.
  6. To manage the IT department including staff appraisals, disciplining, pay reviews, and career development.
  7. Responsible for IT hardware, software, and maintenance procurement.
  8. To develop and maintain a disaster recovery plan.
  9. To develop and control the IT security policy.
  10. To maintain and develop the company website.
  11. Provide a monthly written report to the GM on all aspects of the IT Department.
Job Specification

Skills / Attributes Required:

  1. Proven experience of managing an IT department.
  2. Experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.
  3. Strong team leading skills.
  4. Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  5. Commissioning and de-commissioning of EITV Devices.
  6. Experience with Shipping/Logistic companies and Afghan transit will be preference.
