The Position:

We are seeking a qualified Senior Accountant for one of our newly acquired business units. The successful candidate will accurately maintain financial records and reports, prepare and generate monthly financial analysis reports, and possess a strong understanding of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other financial transactions. Excellent communication, business, and analytical skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Recognize revenue according to IFRS 15 and CSI policies, updating detailed revenue reports monthly.
  • Review all costs and invoices to ensure correct posting of prepaid costs and accruals each month.
  • Recognize new leases and maintain lease schedules as per IFRS 16.
  • Maintain monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations with supporting documentation.
  • Upload local statutory accounts TB monthly.
  • Maintain monthly reconciliation of local statutory accounts (Italian GAAP) to management accounts (IFRS).
  • Review bank transactions weekly, monitoring cash surpluses or deficits.
  • Manage Fixed Assets, including additions, disposals, and reconciliation.
  • Prepare Accounts Receivable aging reports and assist in doubtful account provisions.
  • Assist in preparing internal monthly financial statements for timely reporting with high accuracy.
  • Reconcile Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable subledgers to the General Ledger.
  • Prepare intercompany cross-charge workings and maintain monthly intercompany reconciliations, including FX revaluation journals.
  • Support finance during internal and external audits.

Professional Acumen:

  • Be proactive, eager to learn, ask questions, and provide solutions. Continuously review and improve processes.
  • Identify and escalate issues proactively, avoiding roadblocks.

Technical and Educational Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a qualified accountant.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS-15 and IFRS-16; experience with acquisition accounting is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel skills.
