Your Opportunity
This is a Karachi based individual contributor permanent position, reportable to the "Head of Division Finance and Operations".
As an Affiliate Finance Enterprise Partner, you serve as a key business partner to the commercial organization within Roche Pakistan Limited, Diagnostics Division. You leverage your in-depth business understanding combined with financial expertise in driving forward initiatives critical to delivering the strategy. The Finance Enterprise Partner also builds networks across the organization (including the Value Enabler Chapters) to share best practices and co-create solutions that create value for the affiliate but also for Roche. As a Finance Enterprise Partner you act as a sparring partner, challenger and decision supporter for your business partners to ensure efficient resource allocation to optimize our return on investment.
- Partner with the business and support in negotiating with external stakeholders (customers, HCP's, key accounts) throughout the customer journey.
- Support the commercial team in driving closure of key customer issues (e.g., pricing, contract compliance, contract negotiation)
- Stay abreast of and scan the internal/external business landscape for trends, issues and opportunities to create value.
- Provide financial analysis, financial modeling, consultation, transparency and insights to make good business decisions and achieve business objectives. Work with Business Insight Value Enabler to provide strategic input for predictive financial modeling and data analytics.
- For the respective business area & key accounts, assure financials are on track to achieve targeted business results and metrics or advise deviations and corrective actions.

- Serve as a knowledge connector across business areas, functions, divisions and geography. Be knowledgeable of Roche's processes, systems and tools and facilitate leading practice sharing.
- Identify and support process improvement initiatives. Contribute in process harmonization, simplification and standardization by leveraging the process excellence network to drive automation and digitization.
- Provide structured analysis of plan assumptions and performance targets and enable the business to make informed decisions.
- Provide analytics and innovative insights, resource allocation models and financial modeling tools on affiliate level with the full market P&L & balance sheet in scope
- Credit Management activities which includes generating customer insights, assessing the risks associated with extending credit to customers, evaluating customers' creditworthiness over time and monitoring customer payments and collections
- Support planning event processes for local affiliate – business plan, budget and the monthly outlook
As a member of the affiliate finance organization, you will primarily support the local business needs (80%), while also contributing to above country initiatives (20%).
Fieldwork + travelling across Roche offices within / outside Pakistan might be needed.
Who you are
- ACCA/CIMA/ICMA qualified, or an equivalent professional qualification (e.g. MBA Finance)
- At least 3-5 years relevant working experience
- Solid understanding of management and financial accounting as well as corporate finance
- Strong analytical stills, incl. business modeling & scenario analysis
- Strong business acumen to serve as Business Partner
- Effective communication, negotiation & influencing skills
- Good presentation and spreadsheet skills
