Job Title: Software Quality Assurance Engineer (1 Year Experience)

Location: Rawalpindi, Pakistan

Job Type: Full-Time On-Site

MWAN Mobile currently has an exciting opportunity for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer with approximately one year of hands-on experience in developing IT systems within an agreed-upon scope and requirements. This includes designing, documenting, and implementing test cases, debugging, defining corrective actions, and supporting the development team with software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases to meet client needs.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
  • Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
  • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
  • Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
  • Ability to work independently with a strong sense of focus, task-oriented, and importantly, a team player.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Should have the expertise in Gray-box testing, and practical knowledge of Smoke testing is desirable.
  • Agile test methodologies: ATDD, BDD, FDD, TDD
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
  • Test Automation includes framework development/maintenance/optimization, and automation strategy/planning/execution.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (Selenium, Cypress, or Appium)
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related subject
