Job Purpose

This role focuses on ensuring quality in the market by supporting the customer and consumer-facing segments of Unilever. Daily activities include implementing, executing, improving, and providing quality support to Supply Chain (SC) operations, logistics, warehousing, systems, customer service, legal, and brand teams. Responsibilities also encompass Quality Management System (QMS) compliance, regulatory adherence, care line support, on-shelf assessments, and marketplace issue/incident management.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Deploy IC Quality strategy, governance, and goals through Pakistan-specific quality projects and targets.
  2. Communicate local regulatory requirements and changes; support compliance at manufacturing sites and warehouses.
  3. Coordinate with Consumer/Customer care lines for feedback and ensure timely closure of issues.
  4. Manage product quality incidents in the marketplace and implement necessary actions.
  5. Lead Good Cold Chain Practices (GCCP) across all IC cold chain activities, including audits and temperature governance.
  6. Ensure CRQS and quality checks at primary, secondary, and marketplace/IC cabinets; develop reporting and escalation mechanisms.
  7. Lead or support quality improvement activities based on data from multiple channels such as consumer feedback, on-shelf inspections, warehouse data, and employee observations.
  8. Support projects related to import/export, Innovation Quality, customer quality, and logistics quality. Manage Inter-company quality agreements (ICQA).
  9. Contribute to the digital agenda of the Pakistan Quality team, including deployment of Quality One and other digital capabilities.
  10. Assist in supplier quality programs, audits, and improvement initiatives to reduce non-conformance and material rejections in partnership with procurement.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Degree in a technical discipline or sciences; preferred fields include Food Science, Engineering, or Chemistry.
  • Experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, R&D, Logistics, or Customer Service.
  • 3-5 years of experience in quality or manufacturing within an FMCG environment.
  • Certifications such as ISO 9001, 22000, FSSC 22000 are preferred.
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, problem-solving, and continuous improvement practices with excellent analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing technologies relevant to Unilever's operations.
  • Adaptability, motivation, and a proactive approach with a high sense of urgency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in digital systems, especially SAP and Microsoft Excel.
  • Desire to drive improvements and take responsibility for outcomes.
