Job Purpose

This role exists to empower the digital future with technology, shaping and driving technology disruption and digital transformation strategy aligned with business objectives. Manage Tech applications portfolio with a focus on proactive application lifecycle management or services and to manage the staff required (globally/locally) to achieve this. This role will act as a bridge between business requirements and developers to deliver products as per business needs.

This role manages the execution of processes for the management of Incident, Problem, Service Requests, and Change management for the portfolio of applications managed within the allocated Service Line. The role must ensure that the levels of IT service delivery are achieved both for existing and new services in accordance with the agreed targets. The role will help develop and implement strategies to simplify the operating environment and lower the total cost of ownership of assigned services in partnership with the IT Business Partner Groups.

This role requires a balance of business process understanding and technical breadth (Tech-Business profile) and an ability to operate in a flexible and agile way to drive efficiency and improvements to commercial business and global support functions.

Education, Experience & Skills

  1. Bachelor's or master's degree in computer/software engineering, information systems, or computer science, or similar discipline. PMP, ACP, Cloud, AI certification is a plus.
  2. 5-6 years of experience in a similar role.
  3. Should have comprehensive knowledge and understanding of system development life cycle and hands-on Application Development expertise in multiple programming languages: .Net, Java, Node JS, PHP, Python, AI, System Architecture, etc., along with expertise in multiple databases architecture.
  4. Experience developing products in emerging & digital Technologies like AI, RPA, AI/ML, blockchain, etc.
  5. Experience working in cloud environments, SAP ERP products is a plus.
  6. Experience in Agile Methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Partner with business to innovate and execute digital transformation roadmap, developing and leading a team of Tech solutions Specialist for application development, day-to-day application support, compliance, governance, maintenance, lifecycle management, and planning of business applications used within their service area.
  2. Interact directly with all Tech groups (Tech head, Tech Business Partners, Service Manager, Tech Delivery, Tech Support and Tech Regional product teams, Regional Tech lead), business owners/users, external product vendors, data vendors, and offshore support suppliers, setting and monitoring service levels and conducting service reviews with all areas.
  3. Identify and execute service improvements that will lead to lower cost of ownership for AS and GSK.
  4. Manage and remediate any audit or compliance findings per GSK standards and execute routine testing of agreed IT Continuity Plans.
  5. Serve as point of contact for service operations performance with the Tech Head and Tech delivery teams.
  6. Define, document, agree, monitor, measure, report, and review the Tech services provided.
  7. Lead development and delivery of new products, features, fixes, and technical solutions including major platform deployment/expansions.
  8. Establish total cost of ownership (TCO) of all Tech software assets in production.
  9. Lead development and delivery of platform/product strategy.
  10. Manage CWs developers team reporting to him.
  11. Shape demand for requirements from different countries and convert them into solutions via development or existing product delivery.
  12. Lead team in the elimination of support and maintenance costs associated with assets by decommissioning or consolidating similar products with a cost savings mindset.
  13. Liaison with vendors for new products and to ensure support services are maintained.
  14. Support Tech head for budget preparations, governance, and Tech procurement.
  15. Innovate customer engagement projects with a digital mindset.
  16. Manage cross-functional projects, particularly those involving AI and IT systems.
  17. Utilize project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) to ensure timely and successful delivery of Tech initiatives.
  18. Experience with CoPilot Studio or any other AI-powered development environments to innovate AI use cases.
  19. Ability to design and implement low-code/no-code solutions to automate workflows and improve business processes.
  20. Experience in integrating Power Apps with other Microsoft services (e.g., Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint) and third-party applications.
