Key Responsibilities

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Perform comprehensive testing of responsive web applications across multiple devices, browsers, and screen resolutions
  • Execute thorough API testing including functional, integration, performance, authentication / security, and edge case testing
  • Develop and maintain detailed test cases, test plans, and testing documentation
  • Conduct regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains intact after updates
  • Perform exploratory testing to identify edge cases and usability issues
  • Collaborate with development teams to reproduce, document, and track defects through resolution

Test Automation
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using JavaScript/Jest as well as other frameworks as needed
  • Create end-to-end test scenarios that validate critical user workflows and business logic
  • Implement API test automation for RESTful services
  • Maintain test data management strategies and mock services for consistent test execution

CI/CD Integration
  • Integrate automated test suites into continuous integration and deployment pipelines
  • Configure test execution workflows in CI/CD platforms (GitHub, BitBucket)
  • Set up automated test reporting and notifications for build status and test results
  • Optimize test execution times and parallel test running capabilities
  • Monitor test stability and maintain high test reliability standards

Collaboration & Process Improvement
  • Drive quality culture within the product development team, continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies
  • Work closely with product development team to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives
  • Provide feedback on testability during the design and development phases

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills
  • 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and experience with the Jest testing framework
  • Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with API testing tools (Postman, Insomnia, or similar)
  • Knowledge of responsive web design principles and cross-browser testing
  • Experience with CI/CD platforms and pipeline configuration
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows
  • Understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks

Testing Expertise
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, types, and best practices
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools beyond Jest (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.)
  • Knowledge of performance testing concepts and tools
  • Understanding of accessibility testing standards (WCAG guidelines)
  • Experience with database testing and SQL queries

Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Adaptability to changing requirements and technologies

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
  • Experience with mobile testing and responsive design validation
  • Understanding of security testing principles and tools
  • Previous experience in agile development environments
